Marta Ptaszyńska about Motion Trio

It is my great pleasure to give Motion Trio my most enthusiastic recommendation.

Motion Trio is an exquisite group of three accordion players. These outstanding musicians are Janusz Wojtarowicz , Paweł Baranek , and Marcin Gałażyn .

They are young , extremely talented , and highly committed to new music performances.The Trio

has been in existence for several years now , and its achievements are astonishing . The Group performed in Poland , in Germany , in France , in England , and in the United States with enormous succes , standing-ovations , and high critical acclaim . Last year Motion Trio received the highest award the Grand Prix at the 2000 International New Music Competition under the patronage of Krzysztof Penderecki in Cracow , Poland . The Trio`s CD was named the Best Polish Recording in the year 2000.

Motion Trio istrying to expand the repertoire and , therefore , they are asking the most outstanding composers to write the music for the group (...)

Motion Trio & Michael Nyman & Michael Nyman Band in Barbican Center 12.11.2008

Exceptional concert will proceed in london Barbican Centre 8 april 2009. Motion Trio will take a stand with Michael Nyman (piano) and his group . In repertoire - work of master, pieces for Peter Greenaway's movies and composition written specially on this occasion, in first-night execution by Motion Trio and Michael Nyman Band.

Motion Trio has ended visit in London. Meeting with Michael Nyman is a great step in development of accordion and accordion music literature. New piece of composer - Motion Trio and Michael Nyman Band will execute during common concert in Barbican Center.
