- After your concert "Motion Symphony" in Potsdam together with Deutsche Filmorchester Babelsberg conducted by Scott Lawton the audience of Nikolaisaal gave you a quarter of standing ovation. Have you recieved such ovation before?
- Not, but this was the first time we played our compositions together with symphony orchestra. The event was planned for year and the condition was arrangements for great orchestra, that were prepared for us by Krzesimir The Great Dêbski - as I call him, because what he did was amazing. Beginning form the uverture for the orchestra entitled "Here comes Motion Trio", that gave a propper opening vibration to the concert, we entered at its last sounds, having ovation from the beginning. He have also splendidly worked out 12 our compositions - mine, Pawe³ Baranek's and four by us three including Marcin Ga³a¿yn. It was not only wonderful tones, but also good joke - a theme from anthem of former DDR combined with a melody from known cartoon - braided into "Yellow Trabant".
- Three accordions and the great symphony orchestra...
- That was the original idea. The organisers doubted it to the very end. Not so long ago, we were proposed to perform pieces of Depehe Mode to blunt the oddity of our concept. I did not give in; we play our compositions - no compromise. My firmness succeded, but even during the rehearsals we could feel concerns from German side... Luckilly there were enthusiasts also. This "conflict" evoked such great emotions and engagement like before no other concert. During the rehearsals, judging from reactions of musicians from the orchestra, that played with such stars as Jose Carreras, Andrea Bocelli, Buena Vista Social Club or Metallica, we knew that it's worth doing.
- Since such success, what's next?
- It all depends on results of the negotiations.
- A record possibly ...
- If we will sign a contract. I have invited the Manager ot the orchestra to Krakow for December after our tour. Now, I am happy of one thing - the concert proved that our music can attract young people to philharmony halls and, as we heard, Motion Trio have quite a chance to refresh concert halls and that the accordion in a philharmony is not a mesalliance.
- Concert in Krakow philharmony, you gave on 17th October was such a proof also, when mainly young people ovationally requested encores.
- That is what I say for couple of years, that our ambition is to introduce accordions to concert halls to refresh them and present different view on music. For three years we play in trio one of best known polish composition - "Orawa" by Wojciech Kilar, originally written for orchestra. We observe how people, especially young people brilliantly react to that music. I want Motion Trio to be attractive and beautiful, to move emotions and bring joy.
- Now you came back to Krakow...
- We even have two weeks break, which is rare recently. After that the tour in Belgium with 10 concerts, then 4 days in the Netherlands and we are heading for Kijev.
- The callendar for next year is also tightly filled.
- We'll have many concerts in Eurpoe, couple in the US including Los Angeles and New York. For sure we'll concert in Sao Paulo, Brasil and the Central House of Music in Moscow, what pleases us, because we haven't been invited to Russia for two years now. Recently an offer from Australia came in which is considered by our management.
- Aren't you interested with Australia?
- Afer 10 years of playing we are interested with concerts that are of artistic value. Motion Trio ended a perion of playing to survive. More often we choose places to perform or festivals we are invited for. I do not want to say we have status of a star - for sure we don't.
- How many countries have you already played in?
- 28, in some for couple of times. Next year we'll excede the number of 35.
- How about your record plans?
- We have a lot of ideas. By now two form couple of our albums are available in some 30 countries. I do not assume we'll record frequently. After all we are a concert band.
- Indeed, with your behaviour on stage, mimics, body expression you create little theatre, so possibly DVD would be better.
- We think of this also. I wish we could record an audio album dedicated to Andrzej Chrzanowski, the great, untimely died composer and accordionist who was a stipendiary of Witold Lutos³awski and cooperated with Krzysztof Penderecki and Henryk Miko³aj Górecki. We would like to honour him, because he was one of the first who wanted nobilitation of the accordion. Perhaps Polish Radio will be interested with an album with compositions of Polish masters.
- There are oppinion that Motion Trio is a Crossower, because you can play techno, clasical and world music...
- Because our objective is to show the world that there is such Motion Trio from Kraków worth invitation to the prestigeous concert halls to attract young audience with its music.
- It is couple of days since concert in Potsdam and this quarter of standing ovation - have you cooled off?
- Frankly speaking - not. That week was a fulfillment of dreams I had for years. Once I spoke to myself that we will play in Krakow Philharmony and we will play with symphony orchestra. There was a concert in Krakow Philharmony on October 17th, three days later concert with Deutsche Filmorchester Babelsberg in Potsdam. Both times the halls were full. One don't easily forget such weeks.
- I guess theese are not the last dreams.
- The last dreams would mean the end of the career, which I believe is just before us.

MT & Michael Nyman & Michael Nyman Band in Barbican Center 12.11.2008 08. April 2009 findet In Barbican Centre in London ein außergewöhnliches Konzert statt. Motion Trio wird gemeinsam mit Michael Nyman (Klavier) und seinem Ensemble auftreten. Vorgetragen werden Werke des Meisters, Filmmusikstücke zu den Filmen Peter Greenaways sowie eine speziell zu dem Anlass erstellte Komposition als Erstaufführung von Motion Trio und Michael Nyman Band.
MT & Michael Nyman 12.11.2008 Der Besuch Morion Trio in London ist zu Ende. Die Begegnung mit Michael Nyman war ein weiterer grosser Schritt in der Entwicklung des Akkordeons und der Akkordeonliteratur. Die neue Komposition des Meisters wird von Motion Trio und Michael Nyman Band in Erstaufführung während des gemeinsamen Konzertes im londoner Barbician Center vorgeführt. Mehr Fotos aus dem Treffen.

"Morion Trio In Neukaledonien" . 19.03.2008 Von 01. bis 08. Mai wird Morion Trio In Melanesien (Westpazifik) auf der Insel Neukaledonien , im „Centre Culturel Tjibaou“ auftreten.
MT in Carnegie Hall 22.01.2008 Zum Abschluss des Abends gab es zwei Standovationen. Das Konzert in New York ist schon vorbei. Für die hervorragende Organisation sprechen wir an Herrn Janusz Sporek (Music Education Center) sowie an alle, die uns mit ihrer Energie unterstützt haben herzlichsten Dank aus. Das Konzert wurde mit Hilfe Akordeonus Records veranstaltet.
Morion Trio nochmals beim Maestro Krzysztof Penderecki. 03.01.2008 Am 03.01.2008 war Motion Trio wiederholt bei Krzysztof Penderecki zu Gast. Ziel des Treffens war eine Vorführung von „Ciaccona“ in memoria Giovanni Paolo II in Version für drei Akkordeons, vor der Erstaufführung in Carnegie Hall am 13.01.2008.
